This CLG backed programme is looking at public spending and local leadership in 13 areas across the UK.
These projects will identify how local and central public agencies can work together more effectively to deliver better value for money and use this unique opportunity to radically reshape and improve the quality of life for their communities.

National campaigns; Be a Councillor and 21st Century Councillor are now up and running.  
These co-ordinated programmes are designed to encourage the recruitment of talented, dynamic and more diverse councillors, and help councils to use their councillors more effectively.
