Political coaching

Coaching is a well-established development tool for lead officers within local government. By contrast, historically there has not been the same level of investment in this kind of development opportunity for members.   

To help redress this imbalance we have established a unique and increasingly sophisticated political coaching programme.
Delivered in conjunction with the Tavistock Institute this programme trains selected party experts and political consultants as political coaches. These accredited coaches can then go on to support and mentor other leaders from their own party, in turn improving the political leadership capacity of the their place, and helping create better outcomes for their communities.

Entry to the programme is by invitation only and successful participants are awarded the Tavistock Institute's Certificate in Coaching Skills for Political Leaders.
