The Leadership Centre is running a series of regional and local roadshows bringing together local authority chief executives and leaders, partner agency chief executives, Whitehall, Communities and Local Government and Regional Improvement Partnerships, to develop a localised leadership approach that can deliver excellent LAAs.
The intention is to work with 17 local authorities, their partners, government offices and central government departments to look at issues including the following:
- Developing a narrative on each place
- How the decision-making process might work eg how central government, government office, local authorities and partners will identify and agree priorities for each area
This project is currently running pilots in three regions: Yorkshire and the Humber, West Midlands and South East and in five or six localities within each of those regions.
