Local Civic Leadership

Local Government Leadership is working with a number of local authorities across England on the Local Civic Leadership programme to support and enhance community cohesion. The programme will encourage and help local authorities better understand their communities and build on shared identies.

The Local Civic Leadership programme will be bespoke to each local authority and developed following discussions with the local authority's political leadership as well as senior officers.
 
We will work with local leaders including lead opposition members and senior officers to decide who will participate in the programme. As part of the Local Government Group we work with officers and all four recognised groups at the Local Government Association - Labour, Conservative, Liberal Democrat and Independent.
