Total Place interim research report

The Leadership Centre has commissioned Keith Grint, Professor of Public Leadership and Management at Warwick Business School, to deliver a report on how Total Place fits within the broader academic literature on leadership and change. While the final report is not due until the end of May, Professor Grint has prepared an interim report which draws some provisional conclusions.

This interim report is based on a study of relevant documents and interviews with key stakeholders and participants. At this stage of the study there won’t be  many surprises for those involved in Total Place work, and pilots should recognise themselves and their situations as described here.

It bears repeating that this is an academic piece of work. Those who are interested in the story of the Total Place “pre-pilots” might find the report by Lesley Cramman a useful introduction, while those who would prefer a summary of change initiatives and their effects might like the Total Place: Lessons Learnt report.
